About us
Education has always been at the centre of my life. As a child, I loved school and dreamed of being a teacher, lining my toys up for their daily lessons! I graduated and took up my first teaching role in 1993, developing my knowledge and understanding of how children learn throughout the next decade. I was promoted to deputy headship in 2000 and gained a greater insight into educational management.
Being a mum of three daughters, I wanted them to get the best from me, just like I give to all my students. I left the school system in 2010 and started tutoring, giving me a better work-life balance and more time with my family.
Emerald Education came into being in 2016, when we relocated to the beautiful coastal town of Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland. A year later, I added the option of learning online and began teaching children all over the world. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with students from Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Portugal, USA, South Africa, Russia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Qatar and Taiwan.
We offer tuition in Maths and English, exam revision classes and support for students with dyslexia and dyscalculia. I love being able to work with students both online and at the centre, knowing that we can make a big difference to them. It is amazing to see them developing their skills, knowledge and confidence and watching them succeed
